ST. JOHN'S UMC

 

       Pastor Chuck was born in Houston, Texas and raised in United Methodist

       Churches in Westport, CT and Fairfax, VA. Chuck has served in ministry in some

       capacity since being a student at George Mason University as a teen. He

       graduated from GMU with a double B.A. in Economics and Geography. However,            he began wrestling a call to ministry shortly after graduation and embarked on his             theological education at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Massachusetts.

       He completed his M.Div at Boston University and Asbury online while serving as a

       licensed local pastor at Rockport UMC in Rockport, MA. He is currently completing

       his ninth year of full time ministry, six of them being in Covington, VA. Pastor Cole             is particularly passionate about Christian Education and Mission in the church.

 

       Pastor Chuck met his wife Sarah while attending Gordon-Conwell and they now

       have four children: Charlie (11), Daniel (9), Lily Mae (7), and Evalee (4). Sarah has

       homeschool the children for the last six years. As a family they enjoy reading,

       board games, walks, and other activities. The whole family is delighted to be

       coming to Staunton and is excited to serve alongside the people of St. John's.
